Summary

The Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association (OAWA) is the Provincial Sport Organization for the sport of amateur (Olympic) style wrestling in the province of Ontario.  The OAWA is non-profit association responsible for the development and management of wrestling in Ontario.  

The OAWA is hiring for a Website Content Manager.

The Website Content Manager is responsible for developing the voice for all aspects of the organization’s online presence. In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading site content, this person will also work closely with the OAWA to maintain site standards with regard to new development. The website content manager will also be responsible for crafting site promotions, email newsletters, and video content. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing online content. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Create, develop and manage content for the OAWA web presence, including website:  www.oawa.ca (requires working with content management software)

Coordinate web projects and maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties

Copy, edit and proofread all web content

Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference

Recruit and coordinate content for regular e-mail blasts to registered coaches, clubs, or general membership as required.

Archive e-mail blasts creating an on-line Newsletter.

Maintain the OAWA Twitter and Facebook accounts, and other electronic/social media needs for the OAWA.

Work cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors

Required Skills

Strong background in Olympic Wrestling

Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems (Drupal, WordPress, etc)

Ability to manage multiple projects

Passion, Integrity and Energy!

Knowledge of the Ontario Amateur Wrestling scene/community a definite asset.

Remuneration:

The Website Content Manager will operate as a Contractor to the Association, invoicing the OAWA for services provided to a maximum of $500.00 per month.  The position is a one-year contract with potential renewal for a second year if both parties agree.
